Resolved Question: What do you think of my idea for using hydrogen gas captured with electrolysis?

By Med Spa Expert at 27 January, 2010, 3:39 pm

Use it with latex balloons to carry rodents to distant lands when our “live catch” rat traps catch a rat or mouse. That would save me a five mile trip involving car fuel etc. I strap the critter on the balloon and send him aloft.

Open Question: Do you think she needs electrolysis? Pic included?

By Med Spa Expert at 27 January, 2010, 3:39 pm

My friend is considering electrolysis. She is thinking that her upper lip is very hairy, so I am trying to get some opinions on whether or not you think she should get it? Does it look bad or is it acceptable?

Open Question: Chemistry help - Electrolysis?

By Med Spa Expert at 27 January, 2010, 3:39 pm

There is a graphite anode in hot cobalt (ll) sulfate electrolyte and after electrolysis, a gas is produced which turns lime water cloudy.
Why?
Is it because the carbon in graphite reacts with the surrounding air (oxygen), and forms carbon dioxide with the aid of the high temperature from the electrolyte?
